Couples Who Game Might Be Better off

When it goes into the early morning hours and you’re so close to completing the quest, the sacrifice of sleep was worth it. But you know you’re going to get the cold shoulder when you slip into bed.
Gaming alone is usually what most of us gamers tend to do, even though you might be gaming online with other people. And usually, we tend to neglect our significant other in the process. 1up.com has an interesting article focusing on profiles of a few couples who have gaming involved in their relationship in one way, or another highly intricate way.
“Joint gaming is wonderful. Anything with joint interactions is better,” Dr. Thomas Houle, behavioral psychologist, says in the feature. “Anything that is a direct threat to the primacy of the relationship is unhealthy.”
The main idea that the feature puts across is that people should hold their relationship higher than anything else in their lives. If something else gets in the way of this, then something is wrong.
Not bad advice, really. And if you want to read about how this idea works out logistically, the couples’ profiles are a fairly interesting read.
