Sierra Online’s Connie Brammeier, senior producer of the Xbox 360 LIVE Battlestar Galactica Game recently took time to talk with Riottt’s Paul Semel about the game. The BSG game is a top-down space shooter. Brammeier reveals why Sierra went old school with the title and talks about what makes this game unique in a galaxy of games from this genre. She also answers a question that fans of the series are sure to ask; Can you say “Frak” in a game rated E 10+ For Everyone 10+?

I understand the 3rd person view point and don't have issue with it, but the single plane, top down limit sucks. It is not reflective of the show. As soon as I loaded this game I was completely disappointed. And I think the reason they did this is because the built it on the equally sucky wing commander engine. A total cash in on license game.

    Just my 2 cents

    "top-down"?!

If they were going to make an old-style top-down game, they might as well have made it based on the original Battlestar Galactica series.

Say what? First, Wing Commander is EA's baby not Sierra's. Second, none of the old Wing Commander games are top-down including the first one.
