Conker and Jade Empire NOT Coming to XBL After All

Saturday, gaming sites were all aflutter (us included) when news regarding Xbox titles Conker Live & Reloaded and Jade Empire would be headed to Xbox LIVE Marketplace in via Xbox Originals. The reason everyone was so overjoyed was because certain assets for the games appeared on the public Microsoft press FTP.
Turns out, we all got excited over nothing. The trivia website Kwanzoo’s Tom McShea explained away that Kwanzoo will be launching a videogame trivia section and he contacted the site’s Microsoft PR representative for some images of older titles. These were then placed on the server. Tom, speaking to Destructoid, proceeded to give gamers a warning:
“…Though Grabbed by the Ghoulies will most likely have images added to their server, this does not indicate that they will ever release this cult hit on XBLA. It just means I wrote trivia for this colossal bomb.”
So, there ya have it folks. No Jade Empire, and definitely no Conker: Live and Reloaded. Thanks for crushing my dreams.

It’s better off this way, as far as Conker goes, since Live and Reloaded was a terrible port/remake and the references simply weren’t as amusing as they were when the game first released on N64.
