Comic Book Style Concept Art for Champions Online

Cryptic Studios, the developers behind Champions Online, have released some new concept art that shows the origins of some of the game’s main characters. In keeping with the whole comic book theme, the origin stories are even presented as paneled pages. The four pieces of concept art reveal the stories behind Defender, Doctor Destroyer, Menton, and Ironclad; and they actually look like they would make up a pretty good story. The one that really caught my eye though is the last part of Ironclad’s origin above, mostly because it looks like he just beat the crap out of the Incredible Hulk. I suppose one could argue that’s some other green, muscle-bound guy in ripped shorts, but it’s still a pretty funny image. You can check out the other origin stories here.
