CliffyB Says “Don’t Call Me ‘CliffyB’”

Apparently Cliff Bleszinski, best known as the lead designer of Gears of War, is tired of his nickname “CliffyB,” and want to drop the famous moniker. He basically said that it’s “time to grow up a bit,” since the name originated back when he was a 20-something working on Unreal Tournament games. Now he’s in his early 30’s and at the height of his career, so he seems to want a more professional standing in gamers eyes. Unfortunately, I don’t think I could really spell his last name off the top of my head to save my life (my first attempt came out a “Blesininzski”). As such, I’m just going to refer to him as “Cliff Johnson,” as in “Cliff Johnson’s Gears of War 2 is looking sweet.”

Bleh-zin-ski.. HE SAYS HIS OWN NAME IN VIDEOS..IGNORANT PRICK
CliffyB
Yeah, it’s not too hard… at all.
Whatever they call him does not change the fact that he is a betrayer. To think, he actually worked on the UT series. And now, he has played a large part in the downfall of the series and epic as a PC developer.
yeah that is freakin dumb. seriously. the dream of every gamer that wants to be like him(me) is to have a fun, non serious job. if he really thinks just cause he’s getting older it means he wants to grow up then i think its time for him to retire.
The guy is entitled to do what he wants
I shall solve this dilemma.
Henceforth, Clifford Bleszinski shall immediately be know as “The Biz”.
(Regardless, I’ll continue to refer to him as “Ass”)
I LOVE YOU
Steve take a bathh now!!!
I’ll gladly sponsor a gun and a bullet just for you CliffyB.
everything was fine and good till unreal and ut, then cliffyB had this idiotic idea and then pooped out unreal2, ut03, ut04, ut3…… the characters look soo bad and the storyline is a joke.
cliffyB is an example of what happens when green takes over the industry and you loose your soul.
opps i meant greed
as in greedy
I always reffered to Cliff by his full name, for the most part — but hey, if he thinks a new name for a new time is the right thing to set in motion, now — then cool…fine by me…
Whatever he wants to call himself is fine, I could care less what the guy has to say anymore. He played a big part in screwing up the PC side of Epic, made a mediocre game that became extremely popular on consoles (and poorly ported to the PC I might add), and now wants a more “professional” look? Thanks, but no thanks.
His name is easy to spell…
lol, its funny watching the PC fanbase get all worked up about the fact Epic’s gone console.
Realistically, who-cares.
Plenty other developers out there. So quit moaning.
Personally, I dont think have made any bad games.
Not saying they’ve made great games, but even the ported stuff is better than alot of the s**t thats out there at the moment.
