Classic Anime Shows Hitting Xbox Live Marketplace

Today marks the addition of a bevy of anime classics hitting the Xbox Live Marketplace. Through a deal with Microsoft and Starz Media, Xbox 360 owners can now download such shows as “Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Seasons 1 & 2,” “Street Fighter II V,” “Noein,” “Tokko” “Virus,” and “Astro Boy”. Says Marc DeBevoise, senior VP with Starz Media:
“These titles have been favorites for years, as manga, anime series, DVD movies, video games and more. With the emergence of broadband and wireless content platforms, fans have now been asking for these titles digitally. Xbox LIVE is the perfect digital media platform to bring this unique form of entertainment to those fans. We’re very happy to have these anime titles from Manga Entertainment on Xbox LIVE with its broad reach and significant depth of content.”
Yeah, that really is a collection of some fine anime works, especially Ghost in the Shell. If you liked the movie (or The Matrix for that matter) that’s definitely one series you should check out. All these shows are now available through the Anime Channel on Xbox Live Marketplace.

It would be grand.. if it wasnt like 7bux per Ep of the show… and 27 eps per anime….
it’s more like $4-5, but yeah it is a little pricey. sadly though, that’s still cheaper than buying the DVDs for most of these, since anime tends to be a bit more expensive than other shows.
if you havent seen Street Fighter II V id recommend getting that show, its freakin awesome.
