Prompted by the passing of Wheel of Time series author Robert Jordan, Compton takes a look at the trend in literature of branching several plot lines between multiple protagonists thus presenting the story from different characters’ points of view. The story thread are then woven together so that they work towards a common goal from different angles. This has proved an effective means of hooking readers and selling books. Compton looks at the possibility of using this method in RPG game development.
