The latest Dev Diary out from Cryptic Studios talks about soloing in Champions Online. The developer talks about games like EverQuest and City of Heroes which set the precedence that MMOs should lean heavily towards group content. World of Warcraft opened up solo play, but still requires a team effort to finish the game.
Champions Online is making sure that the solo player can finish the storyline. In fact there will be an ending geared towards solo players. Gamers who can’t schedule around guilds, large groups and raids will still be able to enjoy the conclusion of the story arc. That’s something I can really appreciate.

But you should make it so you can go through SP without a subscription. Then I’d buy it.
Don’t be so quick to say that – remember Hellgate: London.
And I bought into the Lifetime Subscription myself.
Haven’t played since 3 months after release.
If they do it right, fine by me. Just don’t go to hasty into it, please!
