Champions Online Offers Tour of Snake Gulch

Cryptic is offering gamers a look at one of the featured areas for its Champions Online MMO, Snake Gulch Dude Ranch. The area appears to be a creepy abandoned Wild West themed amusement park. If your not inclined to read the tale of Snake Gulch, you can always listen to Belle Steele spin a yarn about her daddy’s tourist trap.
Snake Gulch was established in 1864, but has been updated for modern times Westworld style. Like Michael Crichton’s classic western/sci-fi film, the robots built to serve your every pleasure are going bad thanks to an invasion of ornery snake fellas.
It was real quiet down here for a long time, and we’d gotten used to being by ourselves. Then these here snake fellas moved in, and that’s when things went from bad to plumb terrible.
They’re some real desperados, they are, and they’ve done something to the good folk of Snake Gulch. Turned ‘em mean. You better watch your step in Snake Gulch these days – you make the wrong move, and some ornery cowpoke might just fill your hide fulla lead!
With the snakes roaming free, malfunctioning robots and an escapee or two from the local Supervillain prison on the loose; this area sounds like it has enough variety to keep a hero busy.
