Champions Online Creators Hit Convention Circuit

Summer, ah the glorious time of yeah when traditional gamers head to strange places like Columbus, Ohio and Indianapolis, Indiana to visit their hobby’s great conventions. This year two key developers from Cryptic Studios will be making the trip from San Jose to the midwest in the sweltering heat to attend both Origins Game Fair and the gaming mecca that is GenCon.
Here’s the lowdown on the developer’s visits to the two events:
If you will be at the Origins Game Fair on June 25-29 in Columbus, Ohio, be sure that your mask is on straight and that you’re wearing your best cape!
Randy “Arkayne” Mosiondz, lead designer of Champions Online, will be one of the judges of the costume contest at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 28. And there just might be some Champions Online swag for the winners!
Cryptic Studios is pleased to be one of the sponsors of the Origins costume contest this year. Stay tuned for more convention appearances and announcements through the summer.
Jack “Jackalope” Emmert, chief creative officer of Cryptic Studios, will be one of the Industry Guests of Honor at GenCon, which will be held Aug. 14-17 in Indianapolis.
In addition to his other appearances at GenCon for Champions Online, Jack will be speaking at the following seminars:
- Game Design: Publishing Your Game: 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14
- How to Steal from Games: Board Games to “Big” Screen: 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14
- Game Design: From License to Games: 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 15
- Lifetime Freelancer: 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15
- State of the Industry: 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17
