My biggest complaint concerning guitar rhythm games has been the size of the tiny guitar controllers. Like many other people, I have big hands and the little guitar controllers make me feel like I’m playing one of those dollar store yukelales or something.

Fortunately, Peavy came up with a fix by releasing the Riffmaster Pro System. The unfortunate part is that they are charging $2000 for the Guitar Hero add-on that only works with the PS2 game. For $2000, you get two guitars (authentic Peavy guitars that were gutted and had GH controls inserted), a full P.A. system and a monitor.

It’s a shame that they aren’t making these available for the Xbox 360 and PS3 rhythm games. I’d also love to see them sell just the guitars. It would be a great feeling if I had a heavier and bigger controller to play these games on. I’m sure it will happen one day soon for all systems. Until then, I suppose I am stuck with the baby-sized guitars that came with my games.
