Those rascally rabbids are preparing for an exodus as Rabbids Go Home. This sequel to the Wii game that had players dancing with rabbids and practicing their cow flinging has the rabbids climbing back home to the moon as they build their own precarious Tower of Babel. There are two trailers out from E3 for this fresh storyline.

First up is the Rabbids Go Home E3 2009 Trailer which gives gamers a closer look into a lunatic world overrun with rabbids.

I love that the devs wasted no time in getting the US president to contribute to the rabbids’ march to the moon.

The RGH Inside the Wii Remote Trailer features gameplay elements as rabbids invade your Wiimote, unwittingly putting themselves at you mercy. This is one of the funnier more memorable moments from E3. It reminds me of JoeCartoon’s gerbil. Torturing and customizing your own rabbid to use inside the game? Definitely a win. Catch it after the break.

The Iron Maiden tracks will be available on the Xbox 360 and PS3 as singles or in the Iron Maiden Pack. Wii owners only have the option to download them individually.

Stan Bush Classic Finally on Guitar Hero: World Tour

tfmoviesnd Stan Bush Classic Finally on Guitar Hero: World TourI’m not ashamed to admit that the soundtrack for the REAL Transformers movie (not the crappy Bay films) was a key influence in my teen years so a few months back when the rumors that the theme song for the film – “The Touch” by studio musician Stan Bush was inbound for free it actually served as the straw that broke my back and convinced me that I needed to pick up the GH:WT band bundle.

Well the day has arrived and the song is now available on the download services along with the theme song to Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits. The GHOT:WH (gotta love acronyms!) theme is composed by members of the Vicarious Visions dev team and is free as well.. but it can’t hold a flame to Stan.

Fans of The Touch can also participate in an online torunament starting today at 4PM EDT and concluding at 8pm EDT Sunday, May 31. Prizes for the competition include autographed Stan Bush CDs including a new remastered version of the song. Now if only they would bring some of the other songs like “Instruments of Destruction”, “Dare”, “Hunger”, “Dare to be Stupid”or “The Transformers (Theme)” to GH as well… my Transformergasm would be complete!

Check out a music video for The Touch after the jump!

Cover Blown on Xbox 360 Camera?

xbox 360 price 197x300 Cover Blown on Xbox 360 Camera?

Word is out that Microsoft is developing a camera  to bring motion sensitive controls to the Xbox 360. The camera uses 3D technology for more accurate control than previous cameras. Unlike the Wii, the camera would allow hands free control using gestures of the hands, legs, and head.

Supposedly the official announcement may come as early as E3. Of course Microsoft has declined to confirm or deny these rumors. You can read the full article in the Wall Street Journal.

Developing motion sensitive controls  is a natural step towards cashing in on the growing market of casual gamers. I don’t think that anyone can deny that graphics on the 360 are superior by far to the Wii. It’s been my experience that many flashy Wii titles eventually sit on the shelf collecting dust as casual gamers learn to appreciate more complex games; kind of like trading in twinkies for steak. Hopefully in the end Microsoft can do its part to convert the casual gamers of the world.
