Castle Crashers Price is Still Up in the Air

Yesterday, various Japanese outlets reported that the upcoming XBLA title, Castle Crashers, would be arriving with a higher-than-usual price point of 1,800 MS Points (about $20). Well now developer, The Behemoth, has posted a note in their developer blog stating that simply isn’t the case. In actuality, the price for the game hasn’t been determined yet. Furthermore, whatever the developer doesn’t really have much control over what their game is sold for; that’s up to Microsoft. So there’s still the possibility that the game could have the standard price tag of 800 MS points attached to it. Frankly though, Castle Crashers looks like a game that might actually be worth a few extra bucks, and the higher price wouldn’t dissuade me from buying it. It’s at least worth more than most of the dreck that clogs the XBLA library.
