Cartoon Network announced the creation of a brand new MMO PC game titled FusionFall at the San Diego Comic-Con. Many of the game’s elements will be familiar to those who play MMOs, such as clan and guild play. These groupings will be called clubs and the game is played in a large area aimed at a younger crowd. Large distances will not have to be travelled to get to the action, adventures will be available almost anywhere in-game. Class and PvP elements are being considered and it will funtion more like a console game than one for a PC.
Characters in the game will not only be from current Cartoon Network series, but also those from older shows, and players will be able to collect super deformed versions of Cartoon Network characters called “nanos” to aid in battle. Cartoon Network insiders also stated that if the game is successful, a tv series based on FusionFall might be something else to add to the players enjoyment.
FusionFall is slated for a Summer 2008 launch and there are no details on pricing at this time.
