Well, this looks like the start of a trend. Capcom recently revealed that next year they will be focusing their efforts more on the PS3 than on its predecessor, the PS2. President Haruhiro Tsujimoto explained in an interview that while the market for PS2 games is still fairly lucrative, they’ll still be shifting their efforts more towards the next-gen. He also stated that they plan to develop games on a multi-platform level for both the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Hmm…putting more effort into the next generation is probably a good trend, at least from a gamer’s perspective. Kind of surprised to see a Japanese company throwing their support at the Xbox, but I’m not going to complain.
