Testing is a big feedback loop process so it’s sort of assumed that there will be more than one version number release. Although, it is surprising to find so many problems in the initial beta version.

They don’t need to patch the beta. As Jinglepie said, the point of a beta is to get feedback from those who are partaking in it. With that feedback, Capcom can make the proper changes to make the retail version that much better. Patching the beta is ridiculous because betas are supposed to not work 100% of the time. Console kids are just spoiled brats who have nothing better to do than troll websites, talking crap against Capcom for releasing a broken game.

If these problems happened in the retail version, then whine away. But this is a BETA. We all need to be reminded what a beta means. It won’t work for everyone. If you want it to work for you in retail, then give the developer some feedback as why it doesn’t work for you so then you can enjoy the retail version.

I don’t see how that’s giving into whiners, or how pointing out to the publishers of a beta that something is not working properly is whining. The whole point of a beta is to get feedback from the players so the big kinks in the game can be ironed out.

By fixing what was causing the game to crash will allow testers to focus on other things other than that the game keeps crashing.

Sounds like you want capcom to shoot themselves in the foot rather than make sure the game works for release.
