Can’t Have Your Weighted Companion Cube and Eat it Too

Well many of us suffered through the agony of sacrificing out faithful companion cube in the incenerators of Portal but what if incenerating.. or in slang.. “baking” it had been meant to serve another purpose?

There have been several posts now on Bethesda’s gstaff blog addressing their obsession with Valve’s Portal game. Fred Zeleny just celebrated a birthday with a Weighted Companion Cube gingerbread cake made especially for him by his mother.

Sometimes only a mother knows what will sooth the heart it seems. Aside from the detailed and amazing looking cake she also made cookies matching the many hazard symbols on the game’s level markers. Zeleny’s moms reputed to be quite an artist and judging from the pictures, I’d say that’s no exaggeration. How many of our mothers would do something like that for us after all?
