Call of Duty 4’s Double XP Weekend for the PS3

Get ready to level up like crazy this weekend in Call of Duty 4. Infinity Ward is kicking off a special event this weekend that will let PS3 players gain double XP for their in-game accomplishments. The even starts 10 AM Pacific time this Friday and runs until 10 AM on Monday. During that time, players will be able to level up faster and unlock new weapons and challenges. That’s cool and all, but when do the PC players get some love, Infinity Ward?
This should spend more time trying to fix their half-assed lobby system they got there. I gave up on the multiplayer just because of that yesterday.

@Peter: Maybe Infinity Ward is planning a huge upgrade to their servers Friday. This would be a great way to show PS3 owners how awesome the CoD4 multiplayer experience could be when they can actually connect to a game. I played CoD4 on PS3 the other night and I couldn’t believe how long it took to connect to a game in comparison to the 360 version. It’s like night and day.
And the PC users get screwed again…….. Typical.

Maybe worth giving attention to some of the ones you would normally leave alone and complete accidentally over time, like the killer ones…..?
It’s cool how they have double xp weekend but they should do it more often AND i must agree that something must be done about PS3’s multiplayer lobby. ive been trying to play online for this double xp weekend and cannot connect to ANYTHING AT ALL! i got in once but i lagged soo much i didnt even bother playing, i got one kill and just watched.

The shit doesn’t even work. It shows an increase in xp when you GET the kill, but if you look at everyones score by pressing select, you will notice that you are accually only getting the origional amount. Playing search and destroy I earneed 250xp for a bomb plant and three kills at games end. I verified my total amount before and after the match. NO EXTRA XP WAS GIVIN.

morbiddelusion it says the normal score anyway, but you do recieve double the score on the sheet. It just doesnt say, dont worry.
It’s cuz everyone who plays on PS3 is a retard and struggles to get XP.
i think xbox should get doubble xp aswell
