People didn't like CoD 3 because it was so much different than CoD 2. Instead of running around with simple classes, it was more complex and a lot more strategy-based. I preferred it. It was much more than just who could pull the left trigger the fastest. CoD 4 a bit better about that, but IW has done some terrible stuff, like the spawning in Hardcore, the cheap LMGs, martyrdom, and for a game that claims to be realistic, it's pretty, well, unrealistic. Granted, that's the game I'm playing most now, but I think it's overrated.
