Good news today as Criterion Games has bumped up the max player limit in the Burnout Paradise demo from four players to eight. Both 360 and PS3 gamers will be able to take advantage of the new limit, as well as check out 13 new Freeburn challenges which have been added. The chunk of Paradise City that’s provided in the demo is fairly large, so the more people that can get packed in there, the better – the game gets exponentially more fun with each person added, since that’s another person for you to crash into or challenge to an event.
This new limit will run from January 4 to January 14, so enjoy this while you can. The full version of Paradise is still set for release on January 22.

Yeah too bad i still don’t want to play it again after the initial taste…
Anybody know how the split screen will work if at all?
Then why would you be interested in the split-screen ? For a friend maybe ?
I’m curious — what didn’t you like about the game, lorgar? I really enjoyed the demo.
