Bungie Reveals Teaser for New Halo 3 Campaign?

After an ominous countdown on their website, Bungie has revealed a new teaser trailer for a Halo 3…something. The weird thing is, the video doesn’t really explain what it’s supposed to be about. Really, if it weren’t for the Halo 3 logo at the end, I’d have no idea what this was for at all. The only other glaring clue to what this teaser is meant to show is it’s description on Xbox Live, which reads:
“High action and deep mystery await players in the new Halo 3 campaign experience. Prepare to Drop!”
I’d say that’s a pretty clear indication that some new story missions are on the way for the game. It’s hard ot say how that would fit into the existing story though, so maybe it will be a prequel of sorts? We’ll have to see.
Yeah, and how does this relate to the “Keep It Clean” thing? I thought it was a new project or something.

Umm…its a teaser trailer. Its supposed to hype. It is supposed to make more questions than it answers.

One of the buildings says “City of New Mombasa” on the side. So its Halo related, you just have to keep your eyeballs open for those kind of things.
It’s the birth of the Master Chief……you have to navigate throught the birth canal…..with a sniper/shotty and not make a mess….you know, “Keep it Clean”

Anyone who has played through Halo 2 will know that this is a campaign prologue to Halo 3. Around the middle of Halo 2, Truth’s ship slipspace-jumps right inside New Mombasa, causing the explosion seen in the teaser.
From what I’ve read about Halo and seen in Halo 1-3, I think this is from the first attack on earth. I think during the first attack a lot of Spartan’s died. This might be their fight. We’ll just have to wait it out.
