Bungie Reveals More Halo 3

Xbox 360 owners rejoice; you just may get that game you’ve been waiting for… the latest in the Halo series. Bungie, via its website, has just released a few more details.

Two new maps which have until now only been seen through leaks are officially unveiled. One map, Last Resort, is an update to Halo 2’s Zanzibar. The new map is larger than the original, mostly due to expansion of the interior and new entry points. The other map, called Epitaph, is a “series of external hallways leading to a multi-level interior with a central theater at the center of the lowest level.” Gamers might have seen this in Gamepro magazine, but Bungie says that some considerable changes have been made to weapon placement and structure.

Also newly revealed are two Armor Permutations, multiplayer-only options that make cosmetic changes to your vehicles, as well as a new vehicle, the Brute Chopper. Bungie says, “With four linked, firing auto cannons and a top speed of 75 mph, the Brute Chopper is a formidable opponent for Spartans on foot or in vehicle alike.”

How many gamers will be saying, “Get to the (brute) choppa!” when this game gets released? Uggh, I can hear the bad Austrian accents already.
