Anyways, I’ve yet to come across any cheaters (that I know of), and even in Halo, I only came across one once, but heard of people modding the game so that the sniper rifle turns into a machine gun, the SMG or Battle rifle shoot out an elite, etc. I’ve never come across these however, but hopefully, bungie will use the hammer effectively.

With each week, I notice more cheating going on with 3, so it’s good that they have noticed it. I just hope they are actually going to do something big about it instead of always talking about the banhammer.

Go back to the damn subject which is the hammer of justice being dropped on cheaters. All hail the hammer! All hail fair play! Now we have to deal with kids who have nothing better to do then game 8 hours a day then own us because we’re more casual. That needs a patch or something….education system and..stuff….

If you own Halo 3 but you don’t have Xbox Live (and most 360 owners don’t) you are not playing a 10/10 game.

Online and anonymously, 25 year-olds and 5 year-olds are suddenly equals, and playing the same game, together, when normally in the ‘real world’ they would not even look at each other.

Now initially you might assume that the 25 year-old would naturally try to harass the 5 year-old online, very rarely this is the case. Have you spent any time around children? Do you know how annoying a 5 year-old can be? Have you seen the extreme lengths they will go to in order to get attention, any kind of attention even if its negative, and the ways they intentionally annoy the people around them? The 25 year old just came home from work and wants to log in and play a game, meanwhile some 5 year old whos been playing the game all day is so bored of it he takes instead to harassing and downright cheating against other players to get his jollies. Think about it, think about kids, and realize that its exactly the kind of behaviour you will often end up with when you give someone with very little maturity the power of a game pc, internet connection, and complete anonymity

And where do you think this completely immature cheating is coming from? Well I can tell you, its not the 25 year-olds, who often have no idea how, its the 5 year-olds, who grew up ON these games and with this technology and are more than smart enough, and have the time, to think up all sorts of ways to cheat.

Thats the bottom line, cheating is so rampant in online gaming because most of the gamers online dont even meet the minimum age requirement, yet they are not only more skilled at playing but they also grew up on this technology and can find backdoors and tricks faster than anyone who was born in the 80s, generally speaking. Yes, there are very few 5 year olds playing, but you’d be surprised how many of them are not older than 11.

If you enjoy having your ass kicked by someone who Normally, you wouldent even talk to, have fun! I for one prefer to not spend my time in vain trying to succeed in an artifical world where immaturity is a major advantage and you’re competing against players who have no jobs and all day to practise beating your ass, often under false pretenses.
