Poor Jack. Although I agree the kid was an idiot to send his console in for repair, Jack’s comment is classic internet douche behavior. He’s is either 12 years old or something happened to him when he was 12 and now he is stuck emotionally at that point in his life. He deserves our pity.

@weclock. Microsoft is not replacing it, BUNGIE IS. Note that they two completely seperate entities.

Giving MS credit for this is a terrible misjudgement on your part, and even though the kind folks at Bungie have gone the extra mile to fix this situation, that does not absolve Microsoft of their sin.

Just out of curiosity, where was this guy supposed to send his console to get repaired? Or was he supposed to keep the broken one as a cherished memento and buy a new one on the off chance that someone at Microsoft was going to “wash” it by accident? Damn, he should have had the foresight that Jack obviously is so very gifted with (and we’re definitely not talking about 20/20 hindsight here – we KNOW Jack would NEVER have made the same mistake being as perfect as he is).
