How about another piece of Halo 3 news? This week’s Bungie Update has some interesting news.
First off, Frankie tells us a little bit about how they collect data and use data during the beta. It’s interesting to see what effect players are actually having on the design of the game.
Then, they take some time to answer player questions, taken from a forum thread asking for them. The list covers things cosmetic, rating points, vehicle questions, and a lot more. For example…
Burn01: Is double team going to be on the beta?
A: Wait, I’m not sure what you’re saying. You’re trying to claim that Double Team might go into the Beta next week? Wow. That would be awesome.
Oh look, double team! All sorts of things to make Halo fans rejoice. Enjoy!

I don’t have the 360 to be able to actually get involved in this, but that is real good developer-to-community relations. Also interesting to read if you don’t have the game, especially when they explain heat-mapping.
