Buh Bye Gears. Hello Halo 3.

As if this was any surpise… Although it has been out less than a week, Halo 3 has toppled the long-running champ of Xbox Live, Gears of War. Using Bungie.net as reference, there have been anywhere between 100,000 to 500,000 Halo 3 players online at any given time. 1.5 million unique players have logged in within the last 24 hours alone. Yeah, I think it’s safe to say the new champ is here to stay. Anyway, here’s the top-ten list of 360 Live activity this week according to Major Nelson:
- 1. Halo 3
2. Gears of War
3. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas
4. Madden NFL 08
5. Call of Duty 4 Beta
6. Guitar Hero II
7. BioShock
8. Forza Motorsport 2
9. Call Of Duty 3
10. Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (Demo)

Interesting how a Beta is in 5th place above BioShock. Just imagine how the actual game will do.
Fartman you deserve to be shanked. Ass. If you do not like halo 3 go express it somewhere else.
Oh, and by the way, that would make me a nobody then.
I too am another nobody.. thanks for your valued input Fartman, but no thanks
Personally I think COD4 will be a better game.
Damn no matter what your flavor, 360 has a beast ass line-up of games being released…
@ License – Problem is, COD4 will play on a completely different level. It won’t be so much as better than Halo 3 (although perhaps technically yes, perhaps not in the game-play department) as “Oh, don’t want to play COD4/Halo 3 anymore, might put in Halo 3/COD4″ if you see what I mean.
I have played the COD4 beta, and am hard pressed in seeing it surpass Halo 3 multiplayer, but it should be very good, and I will certainly purchase it, I just don’t think it will permanently replace my Halo network of friends and multiplayer on live, but it will certainly be a nice change of pace when I need a change from Halo…
