To help cull any fears gamers may have regarding Double Fine’s upcoming Brutal Legend being cut from the publishing arm over at Activision need not worry according to Tim Schafer.

Supposedly on his blog, Tim states that Brutal Legend is fine – however I could not for the life of me find the post. Perhaps I was side tracked by the weevil he found in his box of Kashi Instant Oatmeal. Why I have never visited his blog before is beyond me, and rest assured I will never make that mistake again for I plan to visit it on a regular basis now. I wish all blogs were as comical as his.

Anyway, back to the point. Just because Activision may or may not be publishing Brutal Legend is no big deal really. It has Jack Black starring in it, and that is a game publishers dream because it just reeks of the green stuff – well, the kind you spend at stores anyway – don’t twist my words.  Plus, to quote Tim: ” Anyone messes with our game, Ronnie James Dio will put a hex on them.”

That, my friends would indeed be something to be frightened over – no matter how petite Dio is – he is Satan’s bestest bud.
