BlockbusterBlockbuster has announced that they have sold their Games Station Limited (”Gamestation”) and its 217 stores in the UK to UK-based THE GAME GROUP PLC. We mentioned GAME stores when the rumors flew that they were refusing to stock Oblivion for PS3 (This was later proven false).

Blockbuster, who received $150 million for the chain, plans to use the money to pay down some outstanding debts. John Antioco, Blockbuster CEO, said that the sale reflected their, “intent to focus on our Blockbuster-branded assets in North America.”
