Blizzard is pleased to announce that they now accept PayPal for your World of Warcraft monthly subscriptions. The offer is good for both current and new subscribers. Players can have their subscription automatically deducted by PayPal each month.

Pretty soon they will probably take chickens, goats, glass beads… your first born child.

I wonder if they’ll soon accept cheese balls as a payment option. We all know that cheese balls are basically crack for any PC user.

This is a good move. Not that they need it, but this will certainly increase revenue, there are a lot of people out there married to their paypal accounts.

Pay Pal means that people with obscure debit cards can now play! Its only really for people who like to have money on PayPal. I don’t think that they will get many new people, seeing as if you don’t have a working plastic card you can go to a shop and buy a 60 time card.

I tried to sign up for a 14 day free trial of WoW that came with my copy of Diablo 2 a few months ago and it refused me play their stupid trial without a credit card number. I cancelled the registration, and uninstalled. Now that I actually have the means to play that trial via my paypal account….. I really don’t care to. Screw it. I’ve got better wastes of time to engage in than MMORPGs.
