BlackSite: Area 51- Teaser Trailer and Screenshots

I loved the arcade version of Area 51. I loved it so much in fact, that I played it for over four hours non-stop at the Downtown Disney Arcade (20 bucks at the door and you get free video games all day). I even made a little kid go crying to his mother. Man, that was awesome. His tears tasted great! *Clearing Throat* Anyway… Despite my love of the old-fashioned, stand till your knees buckle version, I have been less than thrilled with the FPS console versions. Granted, I am always excited to hear of a new one coming out – always hoping beyond hope that it will redeem itself in my eyes, only to be disappointed once more. BlackSite looks to be a bit more promising.

Midway has launched the site, complete with teaser trailer and screenshots. If you have Xbox LIVE, you can download a playable demo and get a taste for the game yourself. With single and multiplayer modes, BlackSite includes some pretty sweet graphics, tons of cool weapons, numerous vehicles and A.I. The aliens you blow away are vicious looking, and you get to control your minions, I mean squad with ‘One-Button Squad Command’. Looks and sounds like they may have gotten it right this time – I am keeping my fingers crossed. To be made available for the PS3, PC and Xbox 360, it is hitting shelves in September 2007 – just in time for my birthday. *Hint Hint*
