Black Sea Announces Worldshift

Black Sea Studios, the people behind Knights of Honor, have just announced their next project, Worldshift. The game will be a cyber-fantasy RTS and will take place after an apocalyptic catastrophe. In the future, a large asteroid hits Earth, effectively ending civilization and bringing with it a mysterious plague that not only transforms creatures, nature itself. Worldshift will play rather differently from traditional a traditional RTS. Instead of upgrading to different buildings and units, the player will find different items and relics on the battlefield, which will change their gameplay and tactics. There will be thousands of these artifacts to collect and three playable races to choose from. The development team seems to also be putting a lot of emphasis on multiplayer to make the action fast and frenetic. Hopefully we’ll hear more about this game soon.
