Bethesda is finally releasing the last of the downloadable content created for its Elder Scrolls Oblivion RPG. Beginning October 15, gamers will be able to download the Fighter’s Stronghold off Xbox LIVE or elderscrolls.com for free. This offer only lasts a week so make sure to mark your calendars.

The Fighter’s Stronghold joins the Vile Lair, Thieves Den, and Wizard’s Tower completing the set of four themed domiciles for the main class archetypes.

You inherit the rights to Battlehorn Castle, located on a lovely stretch of the Colovian Highlands, west of Chorrol. Dining Hall, barracks, wine cellar, training room, and your own private Shrine of Julianos. Update your castle furnishings, perhaps even a Dwemer Forge for the aspiring Armorer? Hire a taxidermist to tastfully decorate your new abode with trophies from your adventuring.

As for other downloadable content, work on the Shivering Isles expansion as a PSN download or a standalone retail disc. for the PS3 is coming along nicely and there should be a release date announced soon.

Next week you can look forward to the Xbox 360 retail disc release of the Shivering Isles packaged with the Knights of the Nine and the PS3 Oblivion Game of the Year edition which also includes Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine.
