Over on the PlayStation boards, Sony has revealed that LittleBigPlanet will have a “limited public beta test” launching sometime this month.
While the details are sketchy at best, they have “promised” that more information is coming soon, and to just be patient:
“There will be a limited public beta test for LittleBigPlanet in September. If it will be possible to ’sign up’ for this test, full information on how to do so will be made public in advance of the test. Similarly if the test is going to be conducted in an invitation-only we will let you know ahead of time.”
They also go on to state that the beta should not be considered a “demo” of the game, and warn potential participants that they should expect it to break, and also expect to be asked to give feedback and it not work all the time.
I suppose this disclaimer is meant for those who have never been part of the beta process before and who may run off to the evil arms of the internet in order to register their disgust throughout the world. Fair play to Sony on that one.
You might want to check back with us periodically because I am sure a date will be set soon – the game is slated to be released next month afterall.
