BBFC Rejects Manhunt 2 Again

The ESRB may have deemed Rockstar’s revised version of Manhunt 2 worthy of an “M” rating, but they don’t seem to have swayed their British counterparts. The BBFC has reviewed the new version of the game and is still denying it a rating. Apparently, while they acknowledge that the execution-style kills have been made less graphic, the overall tone of the game has not been changed:
The impact of the revisions on the bleakness and callousness of tone, or the essential nature of the gameplay, is clearly insufficient.
So basically, the gameplay and the backdrop for the game — i.e. the entire game — doesn’t fit to their standards. The BBFC also suggested some changes that could take care of these issues, which I’m curious about since it seems any changes to the gameplay or the tone would change the whole setup for the game. I guess you could replace the murderous psychopaths with big teddy bears and all the weapons with delicious pies, but I think that would just be more disturbing.

Funny you mention the teddy bears and pies because I had a dream just like that. And yes, I did brutally murder the teddy bears by shoving the pie down their pie holes until their stuffing innards shot out and all that was left was pie.
Meh, the British BBFC suck and no one cares about them.
