battlefield heroes1 Battlefield Heroes Delayed Until Later This Year

Well, this certainly explains why we haven’t heard much about the game in awhile. It looks like the release of the free-to-play shooter, Battlefield Heroes, has been delayed until later this year. The game was originally expected to be released during the summer, but EA CEO John Riccitiello announced the delay during a conference call today:

“We decided to increase its focus on some of the social networking features,” Riccitiello noted, stressing that the studio hopes to incorporate beta tester feedback and implement new features. “The last thing we want to do is jab it in the marketplace.”

Well, that’s disappointing, but at least they’re putting some time into making sure the game definitely works before they unleash it upon the public.

Well, considering how messed up BF2142 was, I’m not sure I want another EA product on my PC even if its free….

speaking of free… Combat Arms is a blast! give it a shot! (pun intended!)

    John Riccitiello
So this, and the Spore thing.
I’m just curious how many times a day does this guys vehicle / house get egged, and how many times a day does he here “asshole!”?

  5. MrMister says:

Aww… I really wanna play this game… oh well, as with other games in development, the longer it takes the better it is.
    (Except for Duke Nukem Forever.)

  6. MastaG says:

I’m glad it’s being delayed. From what I hear on the Onrpg forums the game is incredibly buggy and imbalanced. Fix I say, FIX!!!

  7. Chris says:

I’m glad they’re taking their time, especially since DICE games are notoriously buggy, but it’s still disappointing that the release was pushed back.

  8. Zigatom says:

That’s a good thing, it means they’re improving a FREE game, instead of releasing a game full of bugs and crap. They want to polish it more which means whenever we play it, there will be less bugs, more improvements, et cetera, a better game.

And for oldskoolarcade Combat Arms sucks. Don’t go play that game unless you love being killed by glicthers and hackers 1/2 of your playtime.
