Avatar to Make Scorching Debut on the Xbox 360

THQ’s Avatar: The Last Airbender–The Burning Earth will be making its debut on the Xbox 360 console next month. The award winning title will be the first Nickelodeon game to grace the Xbox 360. the Last Airbender is currently available on the PS2, Wii, DS, and GBA.
“THQ released the first Avatar video game last year, with the brand rapidly achieving a major sales milestone by selling in more than one million units worldwide,” said Scott Guthrie, executive vice president, THQ. “We are excited to continue the growth of this hit video game franchise, as well as THQ’s overall extensive Nickelodeon portfolio, with the launch of Avatar: The Last Airbender–The Burning Earth as the first Nickelodeon title for Xbox 360.”
“THQ has done a fantastic job translating the epic adventures of the Avatar: The Last Airbender television series into engaging interactive entertainment that brings an entirely new Avatar experience to fans,” said Shaul Olmert, vice president of digital products, Nickelodeon.
Avatar: The Last Airbender–The Burning Earth is an action adventure game following the storyline of the second season of Avatar as Aang learns the ways of the earthbending while battling the agents of the evil fire nation. Players have five new characters to choose from; Appa, Jet, Toph, Zuko or Uncle Iroh. Arena battles, firebending and new flying levels are featured in the game.
