Avatar: The Burning Earth Screens

Avatar: The Burning Earth from THQ continues the hero Aang’s fight against the evil Fire Nation in his war-torn world. Based on the second season of the animated series Avatar, players will join Aang and his pals as they master thier skills, defend their city, and restore balance to the greatest Earth Kingdom city – all the while hoping to destroy their enemies once and for all.
A sequel to the game Avatar: The Last Airbender, this is the second time the popular Nickelodeon series has been turned into a video game. It will be available in late Fall for the PS2, Xbox 360, and Wii consoles as well as the Nintendo DS and Gameboy. Here are some features that have been added to the sequel:
- Multi Player Action – Play alone or with a friend as Aang, Katara, Sokka, and for the first time Toph or Jet, as you battle enemies, solve puzzles or go on adventures to defeat the evil Fire Nation.
- Firebending – Experience the brand-new firebending moves while playing as Prince Zuko and Uncle Iroh.
- Flying Levels – Control Momo and Appa in dramatic air battles.
- All-New Arena Combat – Play as a variety of characters for intense fighting action.

CAN’T EVEN EXPRESS MY EXCITEMENT. This is going to be an awesome game! And I’m really glad that they gave some more variety with the characters. This will be one for the history books!
Total coolness! Sifu Kisu helped with the graphic moves to make them more authetic than the first THQ Avatar video game. We can’t wait for this to come out so we can play it! Just think Avatar Season 3 starts in the fall too…so back-to-back Avatar bliss. Awww yeah!

oi who has played the 1st one, no offence to the creators but they could have been a bit more CREATIVE with the game play, just selecting moves they could have done so much more so i hope they have worked in the gameplay alot, such as using the wii controller to accually control the benders/warriors hands/arms in which case controling the bending not just selecting the moves. thats all i care about.

a point well made john smith. while its a new game i havent yet beaten, it isnt really that exciting. the game controls are limited, not allowing for anything resembeling real bening and the graphics could use some work. even boxing champ 2007 for WII is better. come to think of it, the control system and technique for that game would be well able to adapt for this one and would really bring the game to a whole new level. beta is a lovely thing.

They could have made the first game alot better, such as following the episodes, eg.1st part, penguin sledding and the fire nation ship, 2nd part, on Zukos ship, etc.
Also, they could have let you use the wii remote to actually perform the moves and learn the techniques,
I hope in this one they actually STICK TO THE STORY LINE!!!!!

Omg!!! its so cool. I hope its better than the first one it sucked and they didn’t follow the story line if they did it would be much more cooler game. Water is the best!!! Even though Air, Earth and Fire are cool elements but i still like Water more. I’ll play as Katara 4EVER
