Austin GDC Announces Lineup

The Austin Game Developers Conference has finalised its lineup. Mike Morhaime, president and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment will be headlining the event along with Hiromichi Tanaka, executive officer with Square Enix and Sulka Haro, lead Designer at Sulake Corporation.
The GDC has added a number of additional speakers.
- Lee Sheldon, an assistant professor for Indiana University’s Department of Telecommunications, will present a keynote titled “Magic, Madness and the Muse.†Sheldon has produced and written for television shows like Cagney and Lacey, Charlie’s Angels, and Star Trek: The Next Generation.
- Brian Schmidt, program manager for Xbox audio and media, will deliver a keynote address entitled “No More Excuses: Time for Great Game Audio.”
- Dave Perry, former Shiny Entertainment president and founder, will participate in a Q&A session to be moderated by GDC executive director Jamil Moledina.
- Minho Kim, director of game operations at Nexon America, will present a session titled “Coming to America: Nexon’s Micro-transaction Revolution.â€
“We are very proud of the feature speaker lineup,†said Jane Pinckard, Austin GDC’s content manager. “Our esteemed speakers will contribute their experience and ideas to attendees in an intimate and open setting, in a way that promotes discussion.”
The Game Developer’s Conference takes place September 5-7, 2007 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas.
