Despite denials of impending doom, Australian developer Auran has entered administration. The entire staff has been let go with up to date pay, holiday entitlements, redundancy payments and a long-service leave.
Auran’s Fury MMO will continue to operate and the Age of the Chosen expansion will launch on Friday as planned. The expansion contains a long list of updates and improvements. Check out the details in Gaming Today’s write up.
Update: We’ve received an unconfirmed report in the form of a comment that things may not be as cheery for former staff members as Auran would have us believe. According to the post, Christmas won’t be a merry one for these guys. We’ll post more when we can confirm or deny this.

Not quite true. We were due to be paid last night, but as Auran Dev has $0 we were all let go with NO holiday pay, NO notice pay and we weren’t even paid for the last week we worked (we got let go about 10 hours before we were due to be paid).
In about 35 days we can lodge forms through the government to gain what we’re entitled to, but thats not going to help people who live from week to week, especially with Christmas less than a fortnight away. Just thought you’d like that cleared up.
Ouch. I feel your pain, shauno. Most of those greedy CEO’s don’t care about the developers, so long as they have their own fat guts filled.
