Arkanoid DS Demo Added to the Nintendo Channel

As DS Fanboy points out, it isn’t quite as good as a demo of Space Invaders Extreme, but it’s pretty much the next best thing — those of you with access to a DS and the Nintendo Channel and now download a demo of Arkanoid DS. From everything I’ve heard, this looks like a solid game for Arkanoid enthusiasts, although I have a real problem with playing games on DS that use both screens as one giant space. It’s just incredibly irritating to have that gap in between the two screens play a part in the game, whether it’s completely ignored, and things go immediately from one screen to the other or the slightly better situation where it’s treated as in-game space, but space you just can’t see.
Still, it’s Arkanoid, and it’s as fun as it ever was. There are also a handful of other demos on the Nintendo Channel, but it’s nothing dramatically different from last week’s offering.
Downloading demos is a fairly painless experience, although it’d be nice if it didn’t require a Wii to work. I also don’t really understand the reasoning behind switching which demos are available — just add it and leave it there so people can try out any game they’d like. Isn’t that the logical thing to do? (’sup, Microsoft?)
