Another Full Album Coming to Rock Band Next Week

It’s an early announcement this week regarding next week’s Rock Band DLC release. Another full album will be added to the growing catalog with The Cars’ self-titled debut album from 1978 being releasing for 1200 Microsoft Points ($15). Alternatively, you can pick up the nine tracks individually for 160 points ($2) each, if you’re an à la carte kind of guy (or girl).
The Cars will be available next Tuesday on the Xbox Live Marketplace, and Thursday on the PlayStation Store.
The full tack list includes:
- “Good Times Roll”
- “My Best Friend’s Girl”
- “Just What I Needed”
- “I’m in Touch with Your World”
- “Don’t Chat Stop”
- “You’re All I’ve Got Tonight”
- “Bye Bye Love”
- “Moving in Stereo”
- “All Mixed Up”
The $15 price point was also how much the Judas Priest “Screaming For Vengeance” album cost, even though that had ten songs versus the nine you get with The Cars. It seems like a fair price, though, assuming you’re a fan of the music. If you’re like me, you won’t be parting with any money on Rock Band DLC next week.

Wow, don’t like The Cars? Shame on you. Actually none of my friends like them either, maybe I’m the only one who thinks they are good.
Well, this is just speculation, but I think that the new Disturbed Album will be coming soon. When I heard that you get two free disturbed tracks if you pre-order it from Bestbuy, I immediately ordered it. In the email I received it says “Choose Tracks Now:” which is a link. Though right now the link says to come back when June 3rd.
Just speculation.
(I don’t like The Cars very much either)
-shrug- I think I’m going to get the Disturbed album and the Priest album, and maybe a few Boston tracks when my 360 gets fixed.
I wish Rock Band would just go ahead a release this album so we can stop talking about it once a week and get track # 3 & 6 !!! That is the thing with Harmonix and the game in general. When they let it slip about what is coming out, it is so far in advance that we (read “I”) either get tired of hearing about it or forget about it or get very impatient. They are evil evil people!
Heartbeat City was my first album. Still love them today.
