Current gf is the only one who has understood my passion for gaming. At first, she didn’t get it. She thought it was hammering a bunch of buttons and being entertained for a few minutes. I showed her it was more than that. It was Choice. It was being able to be alone or with hundreds of people. It was like reading a book or watching a movie, only it never had to end. You could do it again in a completely different way.

She got hooked on City of Heroes. Guys, if you want your girl to appreciate gaming, get her hooked on an MMO. Works every time

As a girl I totally understand where ahe is coming from and have know dudes that are just as annoyed and upset when they come home from work and there is a “gaggle of women” all over the house “gossiping and carrying” on was the words I believe my mom’s ex used. Other men have said the same. Also getting upset when she wants to go clubbing and hanging at the mall.
People get so defenseive when they have stuff pointed out to them that don’t take the time to look at the real issue.

As a gamer I feel sad for her and the guy. They should have know it wouldn’t work! Gmaers and non-gamers can’t live in peace from what I’ve noticed XDD Which is why I’m glad I snagged me a gamer hubby. Any other guy just wouldn’t have understood “Don’t talk to me! Can’t you see it’s a cut scene!” or “What the heck you do want… oh sorry I didn’t mean to yell I’m just sick of fight this boss.” >_> as well as “Go make a sandwhich, already.”

She just wants a dude that finds her as exciting as he found her the day they hooked up. That’s not too much to ask for…….. and gamerboys wonder why its so hard to get a nondigital chick to fall in love with them ….oops.

In my case, if both a friend, brother or my girlfriend and I are playing a SP Game, we both enjoy taking turns completing it, and that involves watching the other play without anything else to do. We’ll this, for goodness sake, ended with the inclusion of COOP modes on most console games, but still, it isn’t such a pain in the ass to watch someone play, specially if it’s a fun game.

As both a Gamer and a Girl — All the same arguments can be said (and have been said) about Sports, Boys Night Out, Gyms and Cars. Why is it “just” video games.

Has she ever thought that maybe SHE’s the problem and not the video games? Has she ever tried joining in — like trying to be “one of the boys”, instead of trying to be the “queen of the room”? Look, guys really love when they’re girlfriends play games too, that way you’ll both be all hyped-up, and end-up having some mad, crazy sex — and it’s good

How about this — instead of being loud, demanding, annoying, and always wanting everything your own way, (because men really love that quality in women). TRY joining-in the game for any hour, that way your boyfriend (and the other guys) will see that you’re really trying to be interested in what they like. (You might even have fun). That way, when YOU want to go out and do something – they’ll be more willing to join you. It’s called compromise and having a relationship with another person, because it can’t always be about you.

Most chicks will nag once and a while, but the key is to find a game you both can enjoy for a while. Another thing is to get 2 TVs, if she dont wanna play games im sure she can watch her chick flicks in the room. but yes what a nag.

Ok, maybe I am the only one who see’s this but it sounds like this chick is suffering from what is called, “Bitter Bitch Syndrome.”

Maybe this gal is just an attention whore, or maybe she isn’t getting what she needs in the bedroom, or maybe she is just plain jealous?? She is taking it out on the video game?….

My wife and I each love video games. If someone you love is into video games and you are not, try to understand it and respect it or move on, that’s the best advice I can give.

I personally have spend many a time watching my man (at the time) playing games and vice versa. I usually provide an extra pair of eyes for bonuses or powerups depending on what the game is. However, I’m into games I can undersatnd if it’s something you don’t like it’s tedius and boring.

I do think though that when you’re in a relationship where you live together compromises will have to be made. That’s just the deal with a relationship. Your either holding the purse in the department store or we’re always player 2 on the couch.
