Before Age of Conan, there was Anarchy Online. FunCom’s science fiction MMO is celebrating 7 years online and still going strong. Konami and FunCom have released a video honoring the occasion and showcasing AO as it has evolved over the years.
When AO came out it was a graphically advanced for it’s time. The story line for which the developers had projected a four year life span is now seven years out with more ahead of it. Fans are mature intelligent gamers that enjoy the challenge of exploration and FunCom is still innovating to keep the game fresh.
Take a look at the video featuring scenes from Anarchy Online and interviews with its developers.

Awesome game and what an awesome week it was celebrating
Here’s to another 7 years!
Indeed. I appreciated the +xp items on my alts. It’s pretty cool that they both stacked, too, for +25% xp.
This game was really great in its day. For me though the graphics and gameplay systems are far too dated to really be enjoyable anymore.
^ AO is getting a graphical overhaul pretty soon. Gameplay is fine, although the pvp system is completely broken.
Ya know, I tried to play this twice about a year ago, but I simply could not figure out how to do everything. Does anyone know where I could just learn what to do after I get out of the training area?
