An NES Controller Coffee Table

The video and title of this story should explain it all: what you see is a genuine coffee table that has been made to also function as a supersized NES controller. Susan over at Game|Life calls it the greatest coffee table ever, and I find it hard to disagree. How awesome is this thing?

Kyle Dwnes, the guy who’s responsible for it, made quite a few posts on his blog as he designed and constructed it. If you think you’ve got no chance at ever managing something like this yourself, it might help you to know that Kyle doesn’t have any real experience with building things out of wood, and he didn’t have the most complicated of plans to pull it off.
