I’m a fan of viral marketing campaigns, even though they’re normally elaborate ruses that usually give you no new information. So I was intrigued when I found the image above in my inbox. Considering the upcoming game will be set in Central Park, the mysterious overtones of the website, and the fact that there’s an agreement from Atari on the registration page, I’m about 99% sure this is for the new Alone in the Dark game. The website, centraldark.com, basically has video with a mini-documentary on Central Park along with a timer counting down to the next 25 days. So I’m guessing we’ll get some cool new bit of information at that time. Either that, or Atari’s branching out into the supernatural documentary industry.

I had a feeling it had something to do with Alone in the Dark as well. I mean, since it is set in Central Park, and also the URL they use “www.centraldark.com”, I’m pretty sure it’s Alone in the Dark as well.

Let’s hope this one is better than the last one….. and especially, better than the movie, which was the most horrible thing to come out of hollywood in the past 20 years.

Let’s just hope its any better than the movie. God that movie was horrible. The worse thing to come out of hollywood in the past 20 years. Fortunately, the AITD games are usually pretty solid.
