New details on the upcoming Saint’s Row sequel have emerged, promising the game should offer much more than its predecessor. The city will be about 45% larger than in the previous game and will include several new vehicles, including jet skis, motorcycles, speedboats, airplanes, and helicopters. You’ll also now be able to smash through the windows on buildings, which should make for some awesome gaming moments. NPCs can now be taken hostage and used as human shields. The character customization has been expanded to include the option to choose a gender that’s male, female, or in between the two. But probably the most interesting addition is a new co-op mode, which will allow you to play through the whole single player campaign with a friend.
I doubt this will overtake GTA IV as next year’s top open-world game, but it’s certainly starting to sound like it could be worth playing through.
