Funcom’s Product Manager Erling Ellingsen is featured in the first edition of the video series; Age of Conan Hyborian Insider #1. This inaugural episode demonstrates Combat Mechanics for the upcoming Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures MMO. The use of a bluescreen to display actual in-game footage while Ellingsen explains the different moves, the console system and combos is very effective. Not only are the techniques well explained, but the blood spray is spectacular.
This is one of the best video diaries I’ve seen done and well worth three and a half minutes of your time.

Looks really boring. More button mashing only to be removed when people start bitching.
Clicking an enemy and then watching the fight is super boring.
No one will buy new computers for this game…

all other mmos are basically the same formula with different models and stories(usually paper thin anyway(WOW)).
I am another who upgraded so as to be able to play this and other games. MMOs have very little to do with stories because they’re all about the player community, the formula is about the same because that’s what people want. This game is trying some new things and I applaud the makers of this game for it. Succeed or no they are trying to bring the genre forward a bit. We shall see how it works out.
why is it every time i look up an mmo thread it is being compared to wow by some idiotic waste of flesh. the makers of this game did not sit down one night and think up ways to make a compareable game to wow. they wanted to try new and different thing and in that they succeeded. so get out of your mothers basement and stop comparing it to a game it is nothing like.
