Age of Conan Hyborian Adventures Class Preview: Guardian

Age of Conan Hyborian Adventures takes a look at the character class fondly referred to as the “walking fortress” in Class Preview: Guardian. Unlike the Barbarian, these warriors are covered from head to toe with armor. These men and women are mobile tanks and hard to knock down. Although Guardians are a defensive class, they are firm believers in the best defense being a good offense. They eschew magic, concentrating on strength based combat skills.The Guardian chooses between polearms, or one handed weapons and shields, although they are able to use thrown weapons and can eventually learn to use the mighty crossbow. Guardians that choose one-handed weapons and shields concentrate on exploiting their opponent’s weaknesses. Those that choose to wield polearms specialize in wearing down groups of enemies.

The Guardian is a solid bet as a tank on any team of players.
