Afro Samurai Gameplay Revealed in New Trailer

I have to admit, I was skeptical when I first heard they were making a video game based on the anime series, Afro Samurai. After all, while it may be one of the coolest Japanese animations voiced by Samuel L. Jackson, that doesn’t necessarily translate into a good video game. But, from the look of this trailer, the developers may be on the right track. It looks like they took a page from Ninja Gaiden to string together the combat, and the gore seems to be preserved for the most part. Guess we’ll have to wait until September to help Afro out on his quest for the “Number 1″ headband (yeah, that last sentence makes absolutely no sense if you haven’t seen the show).
