Aerosmith Goes Guitar Hero Exclusive

We’ve seen hints that Aerosmith was making their tracks exclusive to Guitar Hero (what with them getting their very own game and all), but some digging by Newsweek has now confirmed it as fact. According to Aerosmith’s publicist and Activision’s VP of music affairs, Aerosmith is signed exclusively to Guitar Hero for an unknown amount of time. Bottom line: don’t expect to see any more Aerosmith tracks for Rock Band or any other rhythm games for awhile. There’s still a lot of speculation though that Harmonix may have similar deals worked out with other bands, but has been hesitant to reveal which ones. All I know is that in either franchise, Aerosmith songs are usually the more difficult and therefore frustrating to play; so this deal makes very little difference to me.

hmmm maybe we will have an ea/take2 war like we had with the sports games! that would be stupid as hell, yet awesome at the same time.
Yeah cihx, if only anyone gave a FUCK about aerosmith in the first place
ya thats lame. Aerosmith are a good band of course but are only hurting them selves, i hope other bands arent so stupid to go exclusive, if i was in a band id want my songs to both, if more bands do this exclusive deals it will only divide the business and only sell half what they could.
as for Guitar hero my oppinon its whored out to death. i will never buy another guitar hero game, Rock band is where its at. lets hope stupid activision dont steal more bands. the reason why activision are doing this is because they know Rock band is better and will only hurt them, but the truth is they hurt them selves. so Screw you activision and Aerosmith.
